As a writer, a published author, I have come to realize many aspects of my own interests. When I set out to write 'Vengeance of War' for example, it began as something different other than what I had intended. Nonetheless, this is significant of the writing process. You begin to formulate ideas, write them down, group them together to construct some form of intelligible idea(s). I have taken an interest in trying my hand at blogging, website formation, and various 'webpage' constructions and tapped into my creative vein and appreciation for the aesthetic or the creative, the artistic. My interests, then, has nudged me to write my own opinion of what I present to the public, and therefore, 'From the Desk' was born.
Obviously, V.O.W. or Vengeance of War, is a site where I discuss certain or specific aspects of my book in order to shed some light as to 'what was I thinking'. In the chapter, God's Sovereignty, He starts out declaring who He is, giving the reader a formal introduction and clarity of who He says He is. Every one knows that the Creator is far too Eternal for us to contain every aspect about His personality, behaviors, or His different views on various subjects; nonetheless, we sum up and imagine that He is very powerful . To me, the tact in which the Creator takes in the chapter, leaves us no doubt that He is an intelligible, infinite, powerful and wise individual.
On page six of the chapter, He says, "Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is Wisdom, and to depart from evil, is Understanding." In proverbs 4:7, there is a verse that comes to mind, where the writer pens: "wisdom is the principle thing, therefore get wisdom; and in all thy getting, get understanding." With that said, wisdom being-the fear of the Lord, or rather, reverance towards the Lord, understanding, above all--is to depart from evil. In the same chapter of proverbs, verse 14 proclaims, Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil [men]. v. 19: The way of the wicked [is] as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
The message then, from the Creator, as we may surmise from just this bit of gold, is to keep us from stumbling and from darkness. Therefore, He wants us to "walk in the Light as He is in the Light" just as I John 1:7 explains: "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son, cleanseth us from all sin." This is an epitome of the whole plan of salvation!
I can just go ahead a lay the book down, because I have just received the fullness of God's whole intent and desire for me. What a revelation! Let's examine: 1) To have fellowship one with another, 2) the precious blood of Jesus Christ cleanses me from all my sin and 3) I get to walk in the Light of the Creator, and therefore I will not stumble in darkness. I'm sold, how about you? This also brings to mine another revelation of the pregnant word of the Creator. With one statement just as we just examined on page 6, we received an eternal revelation. This is just a few words, from the narrator, and already, I say, sign me up! There must be something in this old World that keeps most of us from even realizing what God is actually saying to us and that something will be responsible for many, many souls, being separated from the ears of God.
